Wednesday, December 4, 2002 Ravenous Posted by
CyRUS64 @ 19:11
Ryan of Ravenous games asked us to host a couple of divx movies of their techdemo showing off the engine they will be using to code a future demo. Here's some further info:
'The techdemos show bootup of the Dreamcast, followed by simple model and texturing, as well as controller input. I am currently working on a collision detection and response system which should show up in the next videos.. Note that these videos are nothing more than a rendering and control test. Don't think it to be any sort of game.'
However regarding their future demo/project: 'It's going to be a 2 level demo that is something to the effect of a 3D Double Dragon. Single player with a few different bad guys and two bosses. I'm modeling the levels and characters.'
Techdemo movies

Update: "We're hoping to have the demo finished sometime in January, but we should have a basic playable version before Christmas. Guess what your getting for Christmas Ryan? A copy of DC Beat-em'Up ;)" :) Discuss / post any questions to the author here.
